Position Description

Seeking an organized, long-term professional employee for a part-time position who will be the face of the studio and managing the daily operations. The ideal candidate has an outgoing personality with a "can-do" positive attitude that enjoys working with people. Someone who has an excellent work ethic and goes above and beyond!
You will be reporting directly to the owners of the studio. Potential for growth within the company.

Responsibilities

Always looking presentable during working hours at the front desk. Must be knowledgeable about the services and classes we offer to be able to sell packages and guide the clients in making an informed decision.
Knowing the online registration system, handle multiple people at once and process a variety of transactions quickly.
Registering guests for classes and processing payments.
Keeping a tally on number of students in the class.
Always making sure the studio is intact, presentable and ready for accepting new clients. Having an eye for detail!

Desired Skills & Experience

Be able to work evenings and weekends.
At least 6 months experience in working front desk or a receptionist position. Prior knowledge and experience with MindBody is a plus!
Be responsible and reliable and always arrive on time for shifts. Be a hard worker willing to impress. Be an excellent salesperson and communicator. Be kind and polite and a quick learner. Be a team player. Have excellent communication, writing and customer service skills. Be able to work well under pressure. High attention to detail and multitasker. Takes initiative and is resourceful. Proficient in MS Office and Google Docs.

Hours & Salary

$17/per hour to start with potential for raise based on performance.

Position Description

We are seeking enthusiastic, mature and motivated dance instructors
who are willing to train under us and have the opportunity to work and teach at our dance studio in NYC.
This is a part time position and based on candidates experience and availability. Teachers teach one hour group classes and/or one hour private lessons. The position also offers opportunities for workshop teaching, as well as teaching for corporate and other events.

Responsibilities

Being professional, on time for lessons, encouraging, and helpful.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to - preparing for each class, knowing the syllabus material and knowing how to break it down for leads and followers, preparing appropriate music for the level, etc.
Attend teacher trainings, monthly meetings, practice events for students, etc.

Requirements

Six months to one year teaching experience is required. Teaching experience has to be in Latin dance.
Be a positive and dependable leader figure. Have strong interpersonal and great communication skills. Have a passion for teaching and educating.
Must be willing to train for our course curriculum in the evenings and/or weekends and willing to be trained on sales and new teaching techniques.
Must be extremely familiar with our services including class packages, events, to be able to communicate with clients.

Hours & Salary

Part time position paid by the class. Schedule depends on available classes and the candidate's availability. Based on experience, pay could vary from $40 per class to $50 per class. Paid gigs and events pay varies depending on type of event - ranges from $75-$125.
