Join us for this fun & funky 4-week course of Boogaloo with a touch of Cha Cha with Melissa Rosado! Boogaloo is dance that was popularized in the 1960s in NYC. It is a Latin funk dance fused with African American rhythm & blues and doowop/soul mixed with Latin Cha Cha and son.
Because most of the lyrics were in English & Spanish, this dance appealed to all races and cultures across the city and country. The mix of soul & funk movement coupled with basic cha cha timing give Boogaloo style
Melissa Rosado is a world-renowned dancer who traveled all over the world with the Mambo King - Eddie Torres teaching & dancing. With her unique style and humble personality she quickly made a name for herself and is still teaching, dancing and doing what she loves!
In this workshop she will also touch on the fundamentals and timing of Cha Cha then dive into this super funky latin fusion dance is now making a revival.
