When you teach, you go into the beat of the music teaching us what to listen for while dancing on 2. Then the icing on the cake and what also sets you apart from the rest of the very good instructors out there is that you send daily emails with amazing tips to help us all be better dancers. I have taken classes from other salsa teachers but there is no comparison to Joel. Even if you feel clumsy, he is so patient and makes it fun that after a awhile you begin to believe that you can do any dance steps. Joel is a professional dancer but he never makes you feel that you are a novice. Joel sends out video tutorials of what you learned in class so you can practice at home. This is an added benefit to your reasonably priced salsa classes. I am a great fan of Joel. Please try out one lesson and you will become a fan, too.

Joel is an excellent teacher, very patient and he really gets the best out of his students. I would totally recommend take his classes especially if you are a beginner or intermediate salsa dancer.

I first met Joel in a social when I had no idea what “on 2″ was. When I saw him dance, I was like wow, he’s such a great dancer! Then after seeing him many many times, I worked up the courage to ask him if he taught classes and he gave me more information about it. I went to class and he actually encourages people who don’t know how to dance to dance. He breaks down the steps and goes over anything you don’t understand. I’ve learned so much from him that I’ve had people at socials think I am a professional dancer, even an instructor! Which I’m not but I learned from the best! And that is JOEL!
